The Code of ethical conduct outlines the behavioural standards expected of all member companies in Norrsken house, their employees, and business partners.
Laws
The member company abides to follow and track compliance with all laws and regulations of the countries in which they are active.
Sustainability
The member company has internal sustainability policies in place when working in Norrsken House. The sustainability policies should include environmental aspects, social aspects (human rights, employee rights, health and security, etc.) and governance (business ethics, anti-corruption, transparency, etc.).
Care for employees
The member company is responsible for ensuring healthy, safe and fair working conditions for all their employees and is committed to complying with all labor and employment laws and regulations of the countries in which they are active.
Discrimination
The member company will not tolerate and actively work against discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status, disability or any other protected class. The member company will further attempt to promote diversity among their employees.
Harassment
The member company will treat all employees, customers, business partners and other members at Norrsken House with dignity and respect at all times. Any type of harassment, including physical, sexual, verbal or other, is prohibited. Harassment can include actions, language, written words or objects that create an intimidating or hostile work environment.
Bribery/Corruption
The member company does not tolerate any improper/corrupt payments or gifts to or from the company which can be perceived as bribes or fraud and has internal guidelines to minimize that risk. The member company will also keep accurate books and financial records at all times and monitor that funds are not being used for bribery or facilitation payments. Anytime members feel uncertain about the legitimacy of payments, they are strongly encouraged to seek professional advice.
Suppliers
The member company will ensure that sustainability is prioritised when selecting suppliers.
Final - retaliation
If there is any breach of ethical code of conduct, the member company will do everything in its power to resolve the breach and ensure that it is not repeated.
Member companies or individuals who violate the law, the ethical code of conduct, or Norrsken’s other policies, may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of their membership.
