Norrsken Community Guidelines

Respect others 
Always treat others with respect. We have zero tolerance for sexism, racism, homophobic or any other kind of degrading behavior. 

Keep things clean 
We share a common space, and it’s up to everyone to keep it tidy and clean. For example, if you see a cup or glass where it shouldn’t be (in the bathroom or on top of lockers for example) put it in the kitchen. 

Be aware of noise levels 
Sounds travel easily in Norrsken House, make sure to use your inside voice and be mindful of others when taking phone calls for example. We have specific spaces like the Skype booths and phone rooms dedicated to phone calls. 

Be mindful of how you use the space 
When using our shared resources at Norrsken House like wifi, coffee, meeting rooms etc. please be mindful and use them in moderation. Don’t for example brew 100 liters of coffee, book meeting rooms for an entire day and download 100 movies on the wifi. 

Respect privacy 
We value transparency at Norrsken House, but with transparency comes great responsibility to not share confidential information or materials that you might see or overhear. 

Beware of tailgating 
Make sure that no one sneaks in behind you, or in any other way tries to get their way into the house unless they’re actually members or guests of another member. Everyone who’s here as a guest or a visitor needs to sign in at the entrance. 

Respect ‘no-disturbance’ zones 
If people are sitting with their headphones on, or sitting in no disturbance or quiet zones like the library, make sure not to bother them. The library is also a no-talk zone, so if you need someone's attention write them on Slack and ask to meet up outside instead. 

Help others 
The amazing thing with a place like Norrsken House is the people in the community. By helping each other we can leverage all of the expertise and skills within the house for the greater good. 

Be including 
We are all cohabitants in Norrsken House, let’s be friendly to each other and make sure to not exclude people. A smile and a hello goes a long way! 

Be an ambassador 
Lead by example and be an ambassador. Show others around you how to behave and how things work. For example, if you see an empty cup somewhere, bring it to the kitchen. Don't disturb people and talk in the library, if you see others doing this, nicely tell them to move out of the library. Don't occupy a seat if you're going away, bring your things with you and let others use the space.
